On May 3, 2016, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission's "Notice on Announcement of the List of Key Construction Projects in Hunan Province in 2016" (Xiang Fa Gai [2016] No. 300), the manufacturing industry base of our city, received the attention of Governor Du Jiahao. The Thai Sensing Internet of Things industry project was approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and was included in the provincial key construction project management.
After more than ten years of hard work, Qitai has overcome the key core technologies and processes in MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) sensors, filled the domestic gap, and made large-scale industrialization of high-end sensors with independent intellectual property rights. The project will build the country's first factory-based non-semiconductor substrate material MEMS sensor production line. The first phase of the Qitai Sensor Internet of Things Industrial Park project has a total investment of 500 million yuan and a planned investment of 180 million yuan in 2016. The total land area is about 98 acres and the total construction area is about 83,000 square meters. It covers an area of approximately 23,000 square meters, including a main chip workshop, a sensor packaging workshop and an office and scientific research complex.
The construction of the project started on March 8, 2016, and the foundation construction is currently underway. It is expected that the construction of the plant and supporting houses will be completed by the end of the year, and it will be completed and put into production at the end of March 2017. The annual output value is expected to be 3-50 billion yuan, and it is expected to become the country's largest sensor manufacturer. After the completion of the first phase of construction, Qitai will gradually expand its production to more than 10 million high-end pressure sensors per year, with an annual output value of 20-40 billion yuan. In order to adapt to the development of the Internet of Things, it will also launch digital, network, and smart sensors, and strive to develop the company into a complete category of Internet of Things sensor professional company and enter the world's first phalanx after 8 to 10 years of hard work. The foundation laying of the project has attracted the attention of provincial and municipal leaders such as Governor Du Jiahao.
